FAMILY UNIVERSITY AT NEW ROCHELLE: Nudging Teens Towards Success: Building Character in the 21st Century
Mar 13, 2017 - 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
New Rochelle Family University, New Rochelle High School, 265 Clove Road, New Rochelle, NY, 10801
A growing body of research is finding that character strengths such as empathy and kindness; grit and self-control; flexibility and a growth mindset can have a strong influence on the academic achievement and emotional well-being of children and teens. Furthermore, these qualities have been found to be the “secret sauce” to their success. In this workshop, participants will learn how to bring these strategies into their home and school. Dr. Baruch-Feldman is the author of the upcoming book titled, The Grit Guide for Teens: A Workbook to Help You Build Perseverance, Self-Control, and a Growth Mindset (July 2017).
